Hi, I’m Robin Niewenhuis…..owner, chief baker and sweets maker in the most delightful bakery in Aberdeen!

Sweet Pea Cakery, named for the fragrant and enchanting sweet pea flowers my grandma grew in her backyard, has been the fulfillment of my lifelong dream of creating and baking for all the events in life worth celebrating, and as a tangible and delicious way to share love with life’s most important people.

Originally Montana born and bred, I’m Aberdeen-planted in this wonderful community where I raised four extraordinary children. Baking was a life-long hobby and occasional side business until a few years ago when my husband helped me design and install a professional kitchen and bakery in our home. It’s light, it’s bright, it’s filled with fresh, high quality ingredients and it’s the place where I fill orders for personalized, decorated cakes, uniquely artistic cookies, cupcakes and more from my delicious time-tested recipes.

The “sweet peas” in the garden of my life are my grandchildren. I have 15 beauties, ranging in ages from 1 to 11 and they are the joy of living. I love to create and bake for my family and I will always give the same effort and commitment to your baked good needs, making sure they are as beautiful as they are delicious.
